stock fuel tank capacity per side?

my 318 is a single side tank, on the passenger's side. it's supposed to be ~12gal, and I've never put more than 10 gallons in it.

What year is your 318? Coupe?

interesing....my '85 318i definitely has tank on both sides. I'd say the passenger side is roughly 10-15% larger than the driver's side, so figure 6-7 gallons on the driver's side and 8 gallons on the passenger side.

of course capacity is reduced a bit thanks to some previous owner denting in one side trying to use it as a jack point :hitler:
