Also you could procure a fuel filter bracket from an e I think? Where the filter was mounted in the engine bay to secure the filter like factory.

The fuel filter is mounted in the rear on e cars also.

Early e's have it in the engine bay next to the charcoal canister. Was just looking at my friends 84' maybe it's an es either way, there's a bracket lol

My 2/86 production "es" had it mounted in the engine bay.

I relocated next to the pump for the shaved-bay S50 swap. I wish I had seen the simpler mod before I did this:

Interesting, I stand corrected. I've had an 9/86, and an 87. Both had the fuel filter in the rear. Maybe they made the switch late in 86.
