Hey,
So we almost made it again at this year's New England Forest Rally. We had a nearly race-ending off that bashed in the front right control arm (enough so the tires were pointing toward each other) about halfway into a 9-mile stage. After the car went off the road into the woods, it was still running, so I stomped on the gas and honey-badgered out of there. A looooong four miles of slow stage and a longer 10+ mile transit back to service found us hot, tired and frustrated, but not done.
Wild Bill Doyle, of cagethis.com, my co-driver for the event, ripped the control arm off in service and bashed it back to straight with a BFH and we were on our way. We completed another 9-mile stage, but suffered a flat on a transit, then the spare was flat as well. Then, as we rolled up to the start line, the radiator blew. We were seven miles from the finish of a 2-day, 90-mile event.
We still had fun though.
Send all Lemfoerder control arms, radiators and tires to Slapdash Racing so we can compete in Rally Delaware, a tarmac event in upstate New York.
