I know there are some people in PRO3 that use them.

      How much was it?

A friend of mine ran a OSG in his PRO3 car and loved it. He had 2 with different ratios. A 4.27 and a 4.45.

Did he still get beat by some one using a 4.11? :D

I have thought about going that route when mine dies..

Could you ask your friend what he had to do to put the OSGiken unit in a non-M3 differential?

they're both the same; the M3 didn't get a special diff case, it's just a standard 188mm with an E28/E30 medium case shell.

According to the guy at Giken who runs the race program, the unit they have for e30s is made for the E30M3 and needs to be modified to work with non-M3 differentials. He said several people have done it successfully, but he didn't know what they had to do.

it's the same diff case. type 188. there are different carriers (one for low ratios and one for high) but not two cases. it's not M3 specific.

They guy probably busy and didn't mean to say e30 instead of e36?

The e36 m3 carrier fits into the e30's diff case.

They were both built by Group 2 in Magnolia.
