Yep, you got all three. The Reno-Fernley was a 24 hr race, we got dry, rain, and snow. I was working as a crew chief and I have to say it was a very long day. The morning was effing cold as well.
Here is our Lemons car(going on year 5). Been through 3 facelifts. This is the last one. It has been hit many times but luckily we have been able to straighten it each time. At hour 23 at VIR (Chumps) last year our fast drive deceided to go cross country. What we realized after the race he started to break the strut tower loose from the body - not good. With some pulling and lots of steel we are ready for Watkins Glen in April..
Chump, but whatever.
Current paint scheme. More art to be applied for next year.

Was preferring to see teams from this site. Not just random shots I could googled.
I need to get busy finishing our Non E30. The current trans is dead in our 318is hence autotragic.
On average where are you finding yourself in the field? Lemons you know your gonna be in class a or b automatically but compared to some teams out there I can't imagine being competitive in class A.
Some teams are so over budget it's like most other forms of racing.
Our first year in Lemons we used a bone stock 86 325e. I think we found every weak spot e30's had - lots of wrenching - not much track time. Year two started to become very competitive ( top 10 finishes). Year three we rebuilt the "e" motor since we cooked it during the last race on year 2. We won one race and then got 2nd (loosing first place by 3 seconds after 18hrs).
Year four we went crazy and put in a 3.5L and did some more tweaking. At this point we are just out to have fun - not trying to win just get everyone track time.
It's like a drug - once you start you can't stop.
We've also had almost everything that could break - hubs, trans, clutch, hood, clutch, clutch, diff, CPS,...... At least the reason for the failures has been learned so our reliability is up for 2013.
With stock engine, cut springs and Sport dampers, we've been at the front of the pack every race.
Finished 2nd at MIS. Have been in the top 5 every other race when failures occurred.
Not considering time, budget has been reasonable - much less $ per fun track time than SCCA racing. Yes, I am addicted. Even have been tossing the idea around about selling the Spec MIata and buying/building a second ChumpCar....
