I have Hankook Ventus RS-3's on my S52 swapped E30. I think they're great, and seem to be holding up pretty well. Nice to have a good summer tire that also pulls track duty without complaint.Leave a comment:

I second this.I've liked the BFG Rivals so far. I've ran them on cold, wet and dry autox courses and have really enjoyed them. They are pretty moderate in wet conditions and if it gets below 68* I've noticed my times will start to suffer. Though anything above that and they're pretty much on point. I run them in 225/45/15.
I have run r1r, z1 star spec, bfg rival. so far BFG rival is my favorite.Leave a comment:

I don't like my Federals in rain. I'd probably go for the Star Specs. Maybe RS3s too.Leave a comment:

Found a set of these in 215/45/16 for quite a bit cheaper than the Toyo's so Im thinking about running these for now and if they also suck I'll just have to man up and get the Toyo's. They seem to be a good medium between what I have and what I want. They are rated at 200treadwear so they should last longer than the 140 that the Toyos are and almost a $200 savings.Leave a comment:

I have r1r's on mine, don't daily drive it anymore but cant see any reason i couldn't. great tire, was super impressed by it on the track (and street) lightyears better than T1r's i was running before. Might wear out a bit faster i guesss but its worth if for the grip.

No personal experience but from what i understand R1R's work great as autocross tires that don't require heat to work. I wouldn't dd on them but wouldn't think twice about going to and from events on them.Leave a comment:
