    E36 front bar fit E30?

I asked this in the sway bar tech forum but haven't gotten a response.

Does anyone know if an E36 front bar (M or non) will physically fit on an E30? I want to experiment with a soft spring big bar setup, and well I need a big bar. I could have one custom made but I'd like to explore this route first. Thanks.

Wouldn't a setup like that cause you to lift tire on the track?

Yes, when you were taking off the street tires and putting on the race tires.

Only question I have is why reinvent the wheel? There are many aftermarket sway bar setups out there that have proper mounts.

Big bar soft spring needs a BIG bar. The wheel rate primarily comes from the sway bar and not the spring. The biggest I can find is a 1" solid bar from Addco. Which that may work, I'm waiting to get my suspension modeled.

Change your pick up point to be mounted on the struts like the M3, both the E36 and the E30 M3 have smaller bars because of the point in which it is attached at the strut,

Well maybe you should have elaborated on that. Seriouslywe are not mind readers here. Any other changes we should be privy to?

What else needs to be said? Does an E36 bar physically fit an E30? Seemed straight forward enough to me.

Putting a dry-sumped 347" small block V8 in took some fabrication work, but it's in there.

Do you know what kind of fabrication work? If it means cutting up the bar and welding it up, I'm not interested in that and will just have a custom bar made. If it's changing the mounting brackets a little, I could handle that.
