Awesome, were there any other e30s running similar to your times?

Will be looking forward to seeing progress with your new wheel/tire setup!

I mean, struts can be bent on track too :). Bending struts and clearancing strut towers is definitely common practice. Many people bend rear trailing arms also, to get settings where they want them without having to use rear adjusters that are constantly moving around. We don't have, and don't plan on having an rear adjustment in our race car until going to some sort of DTM replica setup later on.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure there will be some youtube video about it. I'll post the link after it comes out.

Spec e30 suspension is just H&R race springs, Bilstein shocks, and sway bars. I plan on running a complete Ground Control coilover kit with race camber plates, sway bars, and rear camber/toe adjustment plates. My friend is the Spec E30 record holder around that track and his main complaint is the spec suspension is too soft/too much body roll.

Congrats man! That's awesome. A wider tire will definitely make a difference. I'm shooting for a 2:05 with the M20. It's a bit optimistic but I think the temps will be more agreeable in December. You should come out.
