    eurostop.

I'm planning on running 275/40/17 with lots and lots of trimming. 285/30/18 or the hoosier 275/35/15 shouldn't be a problem. I'm currently running 245/35/18 on 18x9.5 et02f et12r, and have lots of room.

    w/ 275's test fitting

That's good rubber. I might need to do this for my track car.

AST 5100's if AST USA would ever finish the strut modifications.

I run 255 Hankook RS3's on 17x8.25 front and 17x9.75 rear. It does help running coilovers but the biggest I would probably run would be 275 or 285's.

Yes, the E30's have pretty small fender-wells, and turning becomes the bigger problem than having the wheel just fit static.

How do you have wheels in .25 increments?

Are those as exact as their weight measurements?

Yeah they are XXR wheels. I don't know why they come in odd sizes. I'm not complaining though because they are actually good sizes for the e30. It wasn't as easy as just putting the front's on and running them though as you mentioned about getting them to actually turn and not rub. Had to do some beating and banging on the inner fender wells. We also run 20mm spacers front and rear. Those are definitely needed and help out.

Here's a couple updated pictures from a week ago. New spoiler and trunk put on.
