Actually those are Garrick's old wheels (the nice White E30 a couple posts back). I think I finally have the car setup pretty well, locally keeping up with a full suspension and power modded STI but still a little behind. The E30 is WAY faster mid-top end but I can't get off the corners nearly as fast due to not having AWD and more so the turbo isn't spooling like those subies.

I'll be talking it to Peru NT end of the month, so then we shall see how it really stacks up against National level compitition. Tho I'll be running on V710s that now have 130+ runs on them. I was gonna get a fresh set for the event, but right now money isn't right. Probably after the tour event.

Only thing now that I want is spool about 500rpm quicker. Right now I get full boost (12-13psi) at 3K, I want that more like 2500. Talking right now with my sponsor about possibly doing a ballbearing center T4 on the setup. Might make a nice option for a TCD Stage III kit 8-) The power level is good just would like it quicker. If I need more power easy enough, engine should be safe to about 20psi

Very cool! I actually missed the pics of the white e30 a few posts back, nice car also and looks good with those wide fender modifications

I am in the early stages of my engine build for my pos, but I am glad to see your car is doing good, especially since it's turbo and sometimes as you probably already know they aren't the easiest or best for autox.

Good luck at the nationals, guys like you give me hope that my e30 someday will also be competitive and there is hope

          ^--- Nice pics...

I finally got started on bodywork! Going with a 2.5 tone. Sterling gray to the beltline, then black up to the a/b/c pillars including the hood and trunk, then I am thinking silver for the roof simply to help keep the heat down in the car - just need to figure out a good transition.

surebimmer - car looks good, in some of the photos your rear tires look massive!

iflytii - can't wait to see more of your car once you get it painted!

Sounds very cool... can't go wrong with checkerboarding it (black, to checker black/silver, to silver)

As tires are 225 45 16 hankook rs2's. Rims are off a e38 740 16x8 bbs. Offset is 20 so they stick out. Had to roll the fenders to make them fit.
