That's not an optical illusion, that crest is at Thunderhill. When Spec e30 races Thunderhill race track backwards, and when you take the bypass and if you stay toward the lift and swing right, there is a nice section to get air. Finding images of spec e30 and other cars with all 4 wheel off is common in these parts.

e30 drift spec

Tell me why it is no longer an e30? From my close examination it still has the original trailing arms, rear subframe, differential, doors, roof, front subframe, struts, grills, front and rear windows.

It's no less of an e30 than some of the other widebodies posted up here.
