235/40/17 nt-01. I had to throw them on the 8" RC's since my shipment of ltw-5's did not arrive in time. they will be moved over to a demo set of 17x8.5 wheels since they need more sidewall support.
you should have seen the e30 325 the next weekend running 255/40/17 nt-01's !!!! :o

when a front is lifted all the load is on the other side and not evenly distributed. cutting back on the hight of your lift even helps as more tire on the otherside of the car can be used (more even use instead of outer edge). looks cool in pics though

Well I do know for a fact getting your car up on 3 like that can really tweak your chassie with the extra loading. I bent mine when I had my strut tower brace out by over 1* of camber! Luckily my car was already bent so it somewhat evened out the cars natural camber that I had dialed out with my plates before.
My STB is now always in the car, I honestly feel no difference in grip but since its been back in no more sudden alignment issues have come up.Leave a comment:

Hmmm,
A RWD car that lifts the inner front wheel in a corner is 100% sure that the rear wheels are on the ground providing grip because they are (including the outer front wheel) in the same level.
Also the inner front wheel doesnt provide sufficient (if any) grip.
See some F1 hard cornering (braking or accelerating) and you ll see that the inner front wheel, in most cases, is lifted.
This is not due to bad suspension, but in many occasions, this is the goal.
DEFINITELY looks good though.
Agree 100%%. I'd REALLY like to see datalogging showing how much weight an inside front carries....I'd give up on trying to keep that wheel on the road....Not worth the efforts IMO. It isn't doing much work anyway. (if you somehow did tune the car to not lift a tire)Leave a comment:

FWIW, a car will generate more grip and corner better with 4 wheels on the ground than with 3. If a car lifts a wheel in steady state corners, it's generally a bad sign. If it lifts a wheel due to some irregularity in the track, a bump or a dip for example, or perhaps if the the track falls away dramatically, suspension dynamics may result in a momentary lift. In the above photo of my car, lifting results due to a slight dip in the track. Photos taken slightly before and after this one show all 4 wheels on the ground.
Still, it sure looks cool!

dude that looks like one of those transformers when it starts taking steps w/ it' wheels/legs/whatever instead of rollingSome from last year, I tend to lift in almost every corner no matter what, tried tuning it out but don't know if its completely possible. Seems the DSP cars running 245s have a bit more lift then 285s. Also had one event were I kept getting 2 wheels which wasn't cool, but that was due to the lot layout and already wanting to lift one.
