      So if I'm just doing HPDE's and autox, I don't have to worry about FIA, correct? Good to know as it opens my options up a bit.

        The FX-1 WAS FIA approved so it is a good strong seat, they are renewing the cert right now, should be done by may. I personally haven't heard anything negative about a properly mounted seat back brace, other than extra weight that is.
