Are there any kits available that you know of that don't exit the monocoque?

So, if somebody comes up with a great design, with every single piece already cut up and notched, and only needing to be welded together, then it would be a bargain for the consumer.

Wow, that's not bad! It comes all pre-bent and pre-cut? With mounting plates?

yes. although you probably need to measure and modify a little to fit as with any kit. i heard the kirk kit is very similar too and priced similarly.

TC Design did a custom well in roll bar for my M and it was 1k for everything. When you factor in labor and that it's all one piece with strong floor plates, I think it's cheaper then a bolt in kit.

Anything else out there besides AutoPower and VSR for bolt in?

It looks like autopower has reduced the size of its base plates to accomodate stock shoulder belt mounting. Has anyone made their own plates and welded them in using an autopower kit?

how much can one expect to pay some one to weld the cage in for you if you buy a weld in kit? i have a friend that can weld but i have seen his work and frankly it sucks.

i wouldn't do bolt in. if your doing a kit, weld in is the way to go.

Safety Devices out of England makes kit bolt in and weld in cages. Northstar Motorsports imports and sells them here in the US. Bit more expensive than the Kirk or Evilgenius kits.

Northstar Motorsports, Auto Racing Safety Equipment, Helmets, Suits, Seats, Harnesses, Hans, Brakes from top manufacturers including Alpinestars, Arai, Bell, Hans, OMP, Pagid, Schroth, Sparco

Safety Devices has been designing and manufacturing roll cages (Roll Over Protection) for over 50 years.  In fact our subsidiary, Aley Bars, has been making motorsport roll cages since the mid 1960’s when John Aley introduced the first roll cages to European motorsport.
