Solid rear subframe?

    All mechanical noises will be transmitted to the shell and amplified. Road noise, bearings, gears etc. Solid subframe mounts are great for a racecar though.

      I wouldn't assume bearing right away. You can hear a bad bearing on an E30 diff pretty well with the stock bushings because it's loud as hell.

        Yeah, when I changed all the bushings in the rear suspension to AKG 75D, I started hearing a solid thunk every time I shift. It comes from the rear of the car. I'm guessing that since I didn't hear it before, it's just because of the rear end being so much more solid now.

        Hopefully, lol.
