    2.7i Forum?

There is a lot of information on the swap, but its all randomly placed. This can include general technical, m20 forum and other swaps forum. It would be much easier to have a forum specifically for the swap.

a "2.7i" motor falls completely 100% under the M20 section. there's no need to have a whole other section...

OP What you need is a uncluttered set of links of what and how to's. Looking for a cumulative thread with good info quick in m20 and the m50 forums and the 5 lug forums isn't that bad, but its almost as close as trying to look for usable info in e46fans.

10,000 post and not single fact or piece of usable intel.

I agree. The m20 forum has become a place for noobs to ask stupid questions about the 2.7i(99.9% have already been answered over and over). Id like to see the m20 fourm become a place where those of us who have a legitimate problem with our m20s can ask a question and have it answered.

i guess i stated it wrong. its the shifting through all the "how do i make my eta into a 2.7i" that sucks. before all the 2.7i questions the m20 forum had a lot of people who could answer m20 questions. now there seem to be only a few who can answer the questions intelligently. idk i may be wrong but to me it seems that the m20 forum has become a place for noobs to ask questions about making 2.7i strokers. i feel we should just make a forum for them to all ask the same question together. i mean its a bit ridiculous when you look and there is 5 threads asking the same thing. in some respects i kinda miss the days when jordan would frequent the boards.

I don't think that has anything to do with strokers, I think it has more to do with people not being interested in the M20. If it breaks they just swap in a junkyard M50. and when that breaks, they're still helpless but they ask in the 24v section instead. :p

2.7i swap is not hard, bolt that shit together and see what's missing. I used stricltyeta.net for the wiring.

How about someone knowledgeable enough to know what's real info and what's BS makes a new thread which pulls all the good info together? Either with links to strictlyeta and useful forum posts, a summary of the good info or a combo of the 2.

And then make it a sticky in the M20 forum.

edit: "1.3 Motronic Up-Grade & 2.7i How To" is a very good start, but a bit messy.

I second the frustration, time requirement and difficulty finding the info since I've been going through the searching and desire a one-stop thread. I'm still a newbie in this realm and have done a lot or searching/reading to get the info I'm looking for. I can tell there is a lot of crap and lots of threads that only hold little bits of useful info. Would be nice to have 1 place where all the good info is, without having to sift through a lot of crap.
