im confused as to what you're talking about..... "font/color changes in the text"?????
and i don't see how the fact that r3v and limited are different colors make it look any less professional than if they were the same color. personally i think it looks way too bland as the same color. the font is the same throughout. except the .com part which imho looks better as the text it is.
Hahaha, settle down now... I was just giving my opinion!! I personally don't like to change color's and font's especially when working with a small logo because it gets to busy. But really the thing that bothers me the most is centered and non justified text. Colors I really don’t care about and the font changes are just unnecessary.

alright. well let me go open mspaint and add some generic text to a random tach pic. THEN we'll have a logo that is more of a banner ad or sig pic.
you can't use that for any stickers, or tshirts, or anything really other than plopping down on the top of an already shitty made website.
Ok, I guess it looks like shit because you cant make it into a sticker.
Didn't use mspaint, I used Illustrator. Gets rid of the grainyness in the text edges.
it looks like shit because its not a logo. its a picture that you got, and just randomly plopped text down ontop of it. it'd be a great banner ad or sig pic, don't get me wrong, but it's a TERRIBLE logo.
a logo is something that is congruent throughout wherever it is seen. what you have made is something that could be put on the side of (for example) bavauto.com and be used as an advertisement for r3vlimited. at the same time the logo that i have made wouldn't have the same effect in that form of use. mine, however, would look good on top of the actual r3vlimited website because it can be used anywhere. say you wanted to add "r3vlimited" to your sig on another forum so you could promote it. you have a pic of your car, and then use my logo in your sig and since it has a transparent background it could easily look like it's supposed to be there, instead of a random block of a picture with text plopped on it.
the picture you 'made' isn't bad, just not what i think of as a "logo". it's something that i would make to put as an advertisement.

Well I didn't make it for only my interests. I decided to use that photo because in the original "r3v needs a new logo" thread many people commented that they would like to see that tach picture used. A few people seem to still like it, so I am going to stick with my original thought that it would make a fine logo with the right web design to back it up. I don't think that they are just going to take the current layout and throw a new logo on it, I am just guessing they are going to change it a bit. Maybe I am wrong though...
Dammit you two, stop arguing like children. You both have nice designs. What fun is it tearing apart the other persons and defending your own?
Put your shit up, let us decide, and tell you what to alter, and we'll go from there. Seriously, it's not that big a deal.
Yeah, that was my intent with the post that started this argument. I was just commenting how it could be made better. I never was comparing our two designs.
Thank yoiu to everyone who has added something worthwhile to this thread and thanks everyone for your effort in creating a logo. A decision has been made and will be implemented soon.
