The amount of people lurking is irrelevant.
R3v gets way way more new posts per day than e30tech. That's what matters. Post an identical thread on both sites in equivalent sections and see how many responses you get.;)

edit: oh and lets see how many of those are members...
right now this is what it looks like:
R3V - 423 (219 members and 204 guests)
emotech - 603 (123 members and 480 guests)

BTW why does it matter how many posts per day each forum has? r3v can have 1000 posts per day and e30tech 300 but shouldnt it be based on usefull posts? Post a tech thread asking a ? about FI, or m20 engine shit on each forum. R3v may have more posts in the thread but they will all be people giving wrong useless info trying to raise there post count.

i would guess that a good amount of them are old accounts and have been activated but dont use them or forgot. Thats why i think in the last few weeks/months more people have been getting activated and are able to post since alot of them have been activated i bet theres another 100k that is still in pergatory
