Is the sig limit being enforced? When I'm scrolling, and my entire screen is taken up by someones sig, on a 21" monitor, that is fucking ridiculous. I think total size should include text and all that jazz that people throw in - you know, the 10 links in size 18 font below the 700 pixel tall image. I'm not saying mine is perfect, but it's at least within reason.

I think this place would be much more enjoyable without having to scroll past a pixelated close up of a stock bronzit 318i that takes up the majority of my screen, 9 times on the same page.

No, but my scroller is wearing out. It clicks rather loudly now. Not due to large signatures though, just page after page of porn.

I cant do anything other than suggest. You can opt to not view the sigs via the control panel, or you could send a nasty message to those whom annoy you.

Or use the adblock plugin for Firefox and permanently block any image you can't stand looking at.

this is simple. go to your user control panel, to the options page and turn signatures off.

I do that at work since the firewall blocks half of them anyway..

I thought there was an automatic limit on the size. This message always comes up when I try to upload pictures of my eta for the sig:

"Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller)."

Neither remote linking nor uploading from my computer gets around the limits.
