I've used FF2 and FF3 with no problems. Try reinstalling FF. Also, I'm curious how much ram you have. And your version of FF.

i was using whatever the latest firefox is, it just update a couple weeks ago. im running 3gigs of ram on my laptop. and almost any Vbulletin forum drags...well except for s14.net actually. bimmerforums and r3v tend to drag or get hung up from time to time. so now i use IE3 for checking the forums out. doesnt drag, posts go up lightning fast.

Did you check whether it was sucking in the CPU department or RAM department? I can't find anything about a memory leak in FF3. The biggest complaint I saw was that it was taking ~300mb which isn't surprising. I noticed something a while back if you've downloaded a lot of individual files in one session, it starts slowing down. When I 'cleaned up' the downloaded files list, it went back to normal speed.

no, this is a brand new (less than 2month old) toshiba. i forget how to check performance levels. but it has no problems on IE3 just firefox, and on firefox its just this site and bimmerforums, more so on here though.

What's the verdict on this? I read a couple of news clips about it recently - haven't personally tried G-Chrome. I hear that it doesn't require as much memory to operate vs. FF.

No problems here running firefox with vista 64 bit and a skin. No load issues.

google chrome is getting kinda lame. it works, but i miss all the "buttons" on FF and ie3. as in the ones for home page. plus i miss having the bookmarks hidden. plus im confused why a browser made by google, doesnt have google search bar on it, and i cant figure out how to put it on.

FF3 solves the problem really, there used to be a huge memory leak problem.
