Straight shot SB 101 is not as bad as say 101/405, or, 5/55, or even 60/57 is.

I'll have to take 101/405
I mapquested it and got this:

That drive will suck big time! The 101S and 405S will both be bad in the morning. If you take the 101 close enough to Beverly Hills you will run into the horrid traffic heading into downtown LA. The 405S will be just as bad if not worse, because you will be dealing with the traffic heading to Santa Monica, Westwood, Beverly Hills, Century City, the South Bay, etc. :shock:

In the morning I would allow for an hour to make the commute, as traffic is so unpredictable in LA. However, I can almost guarantee that it will take +/- 40 mins. And be prepared for a whole new breed of drivers, LA drivers are a huge cluster fuck when it comes to driving in traffic! :hitler:

You really chose one of the worst possible commutes to have. It will be just as bad or even worse heading back North after work.

I wish you the best of luck, but I'd say look into a place in Culver City, Mar Vista, West LA, Brentwood, Westwood, Hollywood, Santa Monica, or even Downtown to make the commute a little easier on yourself.
