i've personally never had an issue with bofa but i will be using my chase account as my main account soon and closing my bofa before they start charging.

They told me after 5 years they transition student accounts , the campusedge accounts to myaccess checking accounts.

Banks are now limited to what they charge merchants per transaction, so they need a way to make more money, so charging customers a maintenance fee.

You can get an account where if you do everything by ATM its free, or with myaccess you have to have a daily average balance of 1500 or direct deposit of $250 min every month.

ah, never mind then. that's exactly what chase does. i guess they won't be charging me then. i will continue using my bofa then. my last account was shit, wells fargo, absolutely sucks shit. had so many issues with them.

i have BofA, and i have an eAccount, where i do everything through the ATM, and online. and im pretty sure they dont charge me? i think...

With the eAccount they do not charge you as long as its with the ATM, deposit/withdraw

But, they did tell me if you go into a branch and use a teller, they charge you $8.95 for the month. VS $12 a month if under 1500 for myaccess

I guess it all depends on how each individual does their banking

You can always join a credit union if you have a way in...

they don't charge you for "paperless" transactions. I just opened another account out here in CA because my wallet (with cards) was lost, and thats what the lady said

Ive had chase for coming up 3 years. never have they charged me, untill a few months ago. a $10.00 service fee , i can get that fee waved is i have over 500 in D.D. or always have 1500 in the account at all times.

I have an account at US Bank and they are excellent.
