Jim I was able to pull my old purple tint off my side windows in one large sheet by spraying the window with vinegar, then covering it in plastic wrap, and letting it sit. Came off like nothing.

Now I have lots of things to try. Just found a steam cleaner in my wife's stuff. So I should kick some a$$ tomorrow. Thanks for all your suggestions.
