            backfiring and poor throttle is usually vacuum or timing, no?

              Fosho, I'll try it tomorrow.

              Another thing is I let the car sit for an hour with the hood open. Got back in and it was the same story cept it didn't bog down.

                Lack of throttle response maybe could be maf too. But I don't think that has anything to do w/ overheating at all.

                  Matter of fact, when the bogging down stopped so did the backfire. Maybe over compensation?

                    Nickflake, isn't your engine afm M10? I don't think it should recieve that much abuse without the proper maintenance.

                      Hello sir :nice:

                      It's an M20b27 running on a Dinan chip. It definitely needs some maintenance and probably should have waited on that but dam that drag strip sure was tempting... Anyway I need to figure this out soon cuz my other daily has it's own issues

                        Yeap, maintenance is gotta be #1 for me dude. I'm so tempted to go out and romp it at adams track but those things bug me in the back of my head plus it's my daily car and I enjoy driving it to work.

                                but a MAF conversion does help with your fuel economy as well, just playing devil advocate to you're car and it wanting more power :rofl:
