Are you talking about removing it from the strut housing or removing the actual joint from the control arm?

hey so I asked you guys about how strict CHP cops were with tint fix it tickets and figured I should share what happened when I went to the local Torrance CHP office to show I had removed it. This obviously could be different in every situation, but something to keep in mind:

3:30pm The parking lot was full so I parked at the back of the lot 100ft from the building entrance. when I walked in i saw why the lot was full. there were 10 people in line in a 10x15 lobby with one officer dealing with everyone. he took two or three tickets at a time, the infraction fixes he could visualy confirm from inside the room (it had two glass curtin walls to the parking lot) he signed off right there. for mine he walked towards my car till he could partially see my front window and then signed it off for me without ever getting within 50 feet of my car. no fee paid, just the $25 to the state i am mailing tomorrow.

I even put my front plate on before i got there!

ah well, off to clean up the glue residue from when i pulled my effing tint off for nothing.
