I broke 3 pep boy rebuilt axles. They use garbage parts. Their new ball bearings in the axles have flat spots.

I've put over 50k miles on my e30s noisey axles. Over 15k of them were boosted.

              yeah take a picture...
i can be without my car but only during the week, i got mine rebuilt already by a place that was 165 to rebuild both axles, one still looks new and shiny, dont know what they changed to be honest they said bearings, and joints? the other one failed, all the grease came out, after about a month of driving. just got fed up with all the noise, i first thought it was the wheel bearing making most of the noise, now all the bearings are brand new, little noise and drives smooth, also found out today i need new control arm bushings, tie rods, and also a new rack mine binds when i make a u turn or when i make a sharp turn...this car has been a pain in the ass!!!
ive been thinking of selling it

215/40/17 is nice because it keeps the correct overall height without lifting the car.

I had 235/40/17 on the S50 car which was nice but even with the coilovers all the way down it wasn't as low as my other car. The 235 is .6" taller in diameter than the 215.

If you do front fenders go to shit.
Does this mean that IE3 and Bilstein is now "cheap suspension"?

I don't mind rolling the fenders more on the Mtech because I want some meat on the road. I think that 235/40/17 is the goal so Nigel does not think I am a fag.

Jim, 225/45 is way too tall. The 235/40 is already oversized in height and the 225/45 is .6" taller than that! If you want beefy fitment go with the 235. How wide are the Hartge wheels again?

Do any of the usual suspect part hoarders have a good condition rear driveshaft? my u-joint is slowly going poop and want to get a good one in before it does just that leaving me stranded.

I don't have any but don't just replace the rear.

Driveshafts are balanced as a unit and it's not good to mix and match them.

I dont think you would rub with that suspension since off the foward rake.
I kinda meant it more on the soft side of springs. (Vogtland, lowtecs, cut springs, joms, etc)
Only e30s i see with chewed up fenders have those on.
                        But either way NO!

The Hartge's are 7.5 wide. I think a 235 is a little on the wide side for that rim but I like the added protection it gives the lips.
