              update: everything in. No start. i dont knoe how to wire up the starter. The Eta harness has only two wires for the starter. The I harness has 3. I dont hear the fuel pump kick on at all. Theres two plugs from the harness that are buy the DME. Dont know where those go.

                What do you guys think I should get first... A new paint job or a manual transmission?

                I have some touch up paint that will be here tomorrow to respray my bumper bronzit to match the car and also to fix some areas where I'm down to primer. I'll post pictures when I'm done with the touch up job but I am tempted to save up money and respray it b4 Bimmerfest.

                  Go to the junk yard on 1/2 off and pul the 5 speed swap. I just did it in the rain with Mike and paid 160 out the door for EVERYTHING for the swap.

                          The small 3 pin plug has to be plugged in. Ask me how I know

                          The two big oned go on the came positive. One is from the battery and the other does to the alternator. The small one can only go one place.

                              where do i run the 3 wires in the glove box? theres also a two wire single plug with purple wires coming from under the dash.

                                I thing the two wire goes to the cluster to control the cruise control. Their should be a plug for the other one. My 316I has it. One of them is a ground.
