does anyone know if all e30 lollipops are interchangeable????
i have 2 sets and they are not the same...one from a convertible and one from a 88.

All E30/E36 lollipops will interchange.

My brother's 6 series needs a water pipe repair, $11,000 at dealer, but $2000 in Escondido. (All German Auto)
Any good leads on a flatbed tow service Laguna Niguel To Escondido ?

I'm sorry but there's absolutely no way the dealer is charging 11k for a water pipe. That's something like 80 hours of labor, more than even replacing the whole drivetrain would call for.

Just ordered a Beisan Systems Vanos rebuild kit. If only the guy I got the S52 from would have told me it was the loudest Vanos on the planet!

I remember when I replaced my vanos in my 96 m3 with a brand new unit and got the same noise. Does the kit you bought have any modifications done to it? I think there is a Dr. Vanos kit out there too that fixes this problem

It's a rattle repair kit and a seal kit. Cost was $60 vs. buying the same thing already installed in a used Vanos from Dr Vanos for $250. Used the same kit on my S50 and it was beautifully silent. :)
