New fluid > old fluid. Bottom line. I highly doubt you'd be able to tell any difference in the diff or by cold/dry shifting. It's just a placebo effect.

For me it's knowing that I am using a quality lubricant. The fluids are cheaper than the metal parts so I take care of them the best I can. I think that if you only keep your street cars for a short period of time anything will work fine.
