Isn't that usually the case nowadays. E30 owners change drastically since I've arrived. was once the only 16 yr old kid surrounded by geezers. Now the tables have turned.

Still surprising the number of people who don't know what they are. Parked by an e28 535 is with all it's spoilers + roof rack at a local meet. When I said I drove the e30 everyone thought I was talking about the 5'er. Also met a bunch of people there who had them as first cars but never found r3v and consequently sold them lol

I found socale30 before r3v. If I didn't find r3v I would of probably ended up in an 86 coupe. I always wanted one. Still do.

I didn't chose to drive the e30 it chose me. Well I had no choice being a first car & all lol. Being a first owner car with all known history I can't complain, but I still ponder what life.. Coulda been.... +my licenses starts in e30. Guess it was fate.

Sup r3v. Any of you convertible drivers relocate the battery to the trunk? Debating on doing that eventually, but I'd want to know the advantages / disadvantages before doing it.

Wouldn't it be better if it was located in the trunk or does that metal block actually serve a purpose?

Never mind... Googled it. Apparently it has something to with keeping the car balanced at a 50/50 weight distribution.

Easier wiring for amp?
Easier to jump start on teh freeway. Unless by another e30 with trunk batt.
