They were going to do everything for that price including the oils and stuff.


I was expecting to pay alot more thinking it was a valve cover gasket which was what I had wrong with my e36 M3.

They said the tensioner washer replacement was pretty much free.

Damn it looks like several parts. One of which is 80 dollars alone.

my friend recommended pennzoil platinum ultra 10w30 at walmart
2 five quart jugs at 25 dollars each.

car uses only 7
so i will have leftover.

Ahhh fudge. No one in Santa Ynez/Solvang/Buellton can do an alignment for me! Car is too low to use the clamp on style alignment station. Need to go to one with a hub tool, which is 30mi away....

Last time it was $400 to get it corner balanced and set for a decent compromise between street and track use. Hopefully it won't be that much this time, however I am going to invest in some toe/bumpsteer and camber tools soon enough I guess because #becauseracecar

Z3 rack is quite nice so far, but toe is off enough to be problematic.

Okay so i know what I need.

Now i'm going to say this.

Does anyone want to make a couple of dollars and do this labor for me?

Drain oil
replace filter
replace tensioner washer
replace drain plug washer
put oil back in

then

Replace the high pressure power steering hose
and whatever that entails
clean up

I'd rather give one of you guys the cash versus bringing it to a shop that is already making money.

I know alot of you are like "Why don't you do it yourself"
