So I know b25 ICV's need to be cleaned until the flapper moves freely.
What's the case with L shaped b27 ICV's? Just spray cleaner and hope for the best? lol
Looks like it's spring loaded or something.

good deal turned into okay deal. chain gave out on the 540 on the drive home from the DMV today.

Oh no! Sorry to hear that Mike, are the V-8's an interfering motor?;) The motors are cheap and there are lots of them out there. The 6 speeds are a little harder to find but still can be found for a reasonable price.

I have been so busy with work I've had no time to stop by to read the current posts. But, I had to laugh today when I saw that Turg is still entertaining the group with his modern thinking modifications to that poor old car.

Given the number of people having adaptor problems in this thread lately...fill n drill seems to be the safest.

Ive had my adapters for about a year now and nothing wrong

I check the adapter lugs and retorque them down every month or so

But then again the layout I have with 5x130 is imo much safer then 5x120

my old e30 still had the adapters on it. been nearly 3 years now. not one incident. and that is with me regrinding the o.d. to a bigger size and using studs in them too, not the lugs it came with.

True enough it does seem to be the lugs sheering that are the main issue...
