Doesn't hurt to swap. Just make sure you've got steady output from the alternator, too. The ECU can do funky stuff otherwise.

I'm gonna try another ecu I got also. Maybe that'll solve the idle dropping on my car too.

Idle dipping is a common thing on a lot of cars that is not noticed till you get a loud muffler or crappy motor mounts. My 02 gti did it when it was new. Brought it to the dealer and they replaced $5k worth of stuff and it still did it from time to time.

lol thats bad , those things only got 160 bhp to the crank , the m20 out powers that and mikes chipped.

@mike, maybe its modded? Hondate ecu , theres alot of stuff for the K engines.

3rd at like 3k..no power.

I don't know if my car has 5k worth in parts to replace but I'm changing as many sensors related to the drop in idle, btw how do you come up with bad motor mounts/loud muffler relating to a bad idle? I got my muffler a year ago, not too loud and my mounts 6 months ago (OEM)...........fuel presure drops when you snap the throttle to the point of making the car turn off. The issue of the idle happens at any time, engine warm/cold and it's killing my pocket to use 91 gas with these high prices and the car running like shiet. If anyone has any imput let me hear what you got?
