My car is a pos. Instead of fixing everything wrong with the drivetrain, I wanted to replace everything with the (refreshed) m30 since its one of the easier swaps. And since I got hired at the Beverly Hills Hotel I need a reliable-ish ride asap but I don't have the time, patience, tools, experience, or place necessary to do the job.

True... but a e34 with the sports package would be sick too. But your right... e30 a clean would be the easiest option since I already know how to work on the car.

The more expensive the car was new the more maintenance will be.

Nigel gave me an in on a good deal he knows of outside of the yard. Shwan and I couldn't pull the trans in time since I had work. There was only one trans bolt left. You guys know me, im just good at getting tools thrown at me (thank you Mike), otherwise I'd just go back tomorrow on my own.

I had 300 saved for the arms. Another 400 for refreshing shit, and like 200-300 for some clutch kit. You can do it cheaper but I wanted to do it right with virtually no headaches later. I just wanted an easy swap, a little more power, and more reliability.

from the reserve I've been doing the transmission is the hardest thing to find for an m30 swap

^edit that doesn't seem to bad cost wise i was estimating like 2500 for everything to do a nice build with a decently overhauled motor, new clutch new cooling system and such

True, and I manual swapped my vert. But depending on my next car might not need to keep it. The tranny will probably be one of the last things I sell.

Changed out pads, lining light still on. Read that this was a common problem but couldn't find a solution other than either shorting it out or removing bulb. What's the proper fix for this?
