why not try a small independent shop who has a reader and can reset the light for you?

Lol yes I know. I replaced both of them with the pads. Is there something I need to do to reset the light?

Iron-e do you still have that spare bumper bolt?

Oh, that wasn't mentioned. Afaik there's no reset, the sensor ties up that circuit and keeps the bulb off, so only when it's used/bad the light goes on, much like the parking brake light.

It's possible, my last car did that, I thought I needed pads, wen I went to check I traced it to that the wire had come loose and rubbed against the wheel enough that it exposed one of the leads.

Hope you can sort that out, lights on like that bug the waffles out of me

Yes, I still have the bolts for you and Omar is right, I get that "Brake Linning" light too, due a tear on the rubber lining of the sensor, really commun to get this issue.

A broken trace on the instrument cluster PCB can also cause the brake lining light to stay on. I personally never had that problem but I have heard of it. Run a search.

Mine doesn't stay on. Prior to swapping the pads and sensors, it wpuld sometimes not turn on at all for a whole drive. Could a faultytrace still cause that?

I have a garage if that helps? How long do you need?
