Lame. I'll just buy the clutch I guess.
I just put a 16'' spal pusher on mine and was expecting it to be super loud because thats what everyone says. It is quiet as a mouse and cools unbelievably well. I was sitting in a drive thru in about 85 degree heat for 10 minutes and i could feel the fan blowing the heat back. It sat at just above a quarter. Well worth the money and peace of mind while you are sitting on the 405 in stopped traffic at 100 degrees.

          Here is my set up...

I did have to remove my whole bumper and valance but that is because I have an m30 swap, otherwise I am sure you could just remove the radiator.

If you get the curved blade style fan, they are quiet. The straight blade fans are the noisy little bastards.

Makes sense, the straight blades are like half the price of the curved ones.

                  Edit: nice car up there!

Or just buy a new clutch for $60 and don't stress it.
How do you hook it up like that? I can't find any info to do it manually.

im running a curved blade fan and its super quiet. i grabbed an extra window lock button from pick a part and used that as the on off switch. just wired up a simple relay.

I really wanna use the aux fan wiring (since I don't have ac) and use the snowflake button to turn it on

^ take the wiring that goes to the factory accessory fan and use that.

i used the fan thermo switch wiring to turn on the big push fan with an override on the a/c button. but my smaller quieter fan is hooked up to the previously stated switch in the dash

Spent the day getting my temporary motor ready. Block is honed, degreased, painted, and awaiting new bearing. The majority of the time was spent scrubbing off grime. I'm going SETA bottom end with a 274 regrind until i can afford to build it the way i want to. Head was rebuilt about 17k miles ago.
