congrats! free is best! plates show last smog was six years ago, hope it was non-op'd so you don't have to pay the DMV for the cost of the car.

I've had some "free" cars. Cost me a fuckin fortune. Lol

This one just needs a new wiring harness and general maintenance and it'll be good besides needing new paint. Lol

we have a sentra that wasnt registered for 15 yrs. DMV charged us for 3.

My 190 was free. Took about 500 to get the diesel running. Still a win though.

The DMV better not charge me. If they do I'll tell them, "show me the law that says you have to register a vehicle every year". Because I'll tell you right now, there isn't one.

That car looks like a heap, remind me again why you refuse to buy a normal car that doesnt require 20,000 things done to it?

As mentioned above it only needs minor things done besides a new paint job. Besides good candidate for stroker build.

Well the law states the vehicle must be registered in order for it to drive on the road, and if planned non usage the car must be non-op

They do this because people stealing registration stickers is actually a very common thing, so this way the dmv knows if the car should be on the road or not

The engine was recently rebuilt and the suspension is still ok. I've already ordered a brake kit and a couple other replacement parts. Also I'm going to do my own paint at a friends shop after I get the car running the way I want it.

never trust someones work. Verify it yourself. I purchased a car with an engine that supposedly had a full refresh and the bearings were original.
