so basically, my only option is to take him to small claims then? i guess that's what i'll be doing. i can get a rental just fine, but it would come out of my pocket and i wasn't about to spend 8-1000 for 5 days. i'm definitely positive that the guys car was fixed through his insurance as that's what mercury and my insurance said. he went through his and mercury was waiting on receipts from the other parties to see what money they have left over for me.

well i can go knock on his door and ask to confirm but i am pretty positive he went through his own insurance and mercury is paying his insurance.

Yes, just pony up and get there earlier, its worth it, trust me. (7-8am is still pretty ok, the lot starts emptying out quickly after 9).

I think I'll be going tomorrow with my 3 year old (he loves it). It's been a few weeks.

Subrogation happens after PD is closed. If his own collision policy paid his end then Mercury will probably be denying their subro demand. I doubt his insurance has been reimbursed for any of his damages since there is a limits issue.

The craziest shit happened to me today. I was at target I went into buy some socks I came out and noticed my car had been rummaged through and money was stolen.
I contacted security and told them how much money was stolen and told them my car smells like cologne
They said they were already calling the police department and if I wanted to make a report I could. Instead I went looking for this perpetrator myself. Didn't see anything initially but I got directed by a security guard as to where he thought the person was. I pulled up contacted the person they attempted to run from me I then chased him down and me to citizens arrest. Sure enough he smelled like the cologne in my car and he had my money in his pocket
This little bitch was screaming "help" and running for his life for at least 150 yards. greatest moment of my life. Shook his ass down for a bonus $20 and delivered him strait to security.

I just speared a large rat with my ocean spear gun.

Downtown Huntington Beach, replacing the brake light switch under the brake pedal, and I see this large rat run by. First though: wtf, there are no rats around here. I see where it goes, run to the garage to grab my spear gun, and find the rat. Aim like my life depended on it, and pull the trigger. A spear gun has A LOT of force. I hit that rat and shot it about 20 feet past the initial point of contact. Definitely died.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.
