Good Morning,

Yesterday I went to Rite Aid to pick up a few barley pops. I parked the 540 near the front door in what I thought was a safe enough spot. While rolling up the windows and getting ready to go inside I heard a something hit my car. I looked up and a guy had just left the store and not secured his shopping cart which rolled down the sidewalk, over the curb and slammed into the right front fender. I got out of my car and said a few choice words to the old man. He apologized and said he would pay for the damages. I could tell at that point that this guy had already had a few beers. He offered me $100 for the repairs and I said that was fine and to give me whatever he thought was fair. We had to go to his bank to get the money so when he came out he asked me again how much I wanted and I said whatever he thought was fair. He said how about $200 and I said that was fine. Then he thought about it a little more and said how about $300 and I responded with the same line "whatever you think is fair". I would have been fine with $100 but ended up with $300. It was nice to see someone take responsibilities for their actions. A 30 minute drive took 2 hours and the daily driver has a few scratches in the front fender that it did not have before. Now I can afford the new amp and sub woofer that I have been wanting to upgrade the stereo system. LOL

Once a guy backed up in to (over) the hood of one of my old E30's at the gas station. He paid out $300 on the spot.

I agree Matt and at first I was really upset. Good thing for him it was the daily driver and not the M3 or you could of watched me on the 6 o'clock news. ;)
