Mine did too for a few weeks before it suddenly made a crunch as i tried to unlock it and heard a tinkle of metal pieces falling inside the door.... 2 rebuilt tumblers later and all good as new.

Honestly it was very very easy. I think I did both doors in an hour. And the rebuild kits are cheap. And its been wonderful locking and unlocking the doors ever since. Depending how worn out your key is though, you might need a new one after.

Any advice. So my coolant ever since I been driving my car leaks past all the coolant hoses. You can see coolant residue on the outer edges. I'm not sure if it's the hoses or clamps but they're pretty much all bmw hose clamps. Just kind of annoying that I have to fill it up every month or so.
BTW I'm also using BMW coolant and distilled water 50/50

2-3 years old. I even replaced one hose because I tightened it real tight and it still leaks

I may not be conveniently close but if you'd like I have a bunch of new hoses / clamps in my healthily tempered car that you can try, and a homemade pressure tester that fits into the overflow bottle. Right now I'm replacing the freeze plug behind the timing gear, and have finals, so I'm not going to be crazy quick about finishing up. Might register the thing non-op because reg is due 20th and it refuses to drive to smog stations.

I made an impulse "yes" answer to some volunteer work, it's still an hour away and I'm already regretful

That's okay, I woke up at 6am to go to the gym and I still haven't gone.
