They picked a good spot for a chipotle. Rush hour balboa traffic is insane.

Hey guys, I need some advise, I have a 2005 subaru legacy that blue books for 8200, I have a guy that wants to trade me his 2002 e46 325i +$2500. I like the car but it's got 217000 miles on it. What are your opinions on this bmw and it's reliability for a daily?

KBB is not relevent to actual cash value. The m54 is a great motor and I LOVE my e46 as a daily, but if it's a 325 auto sedan with 200k+ I don't see it being worth more than $4k if clean. They seem to all drive the same regardless of mileage if they've been at all taken care of.

I think they have a first time buyer program for next to nothing down...that started a few days after I was locked into mine. I think one young couple that offered on my house were approved with only a couple thousand down. If you have patience and want to get in some negotiating try looking for short sales...it took several months to close/underwrite but I got a great deal and was able to help a struggling family from under a potential bankruptcy too.

I have been contemplating this same kind of idea but, I am going to feel like a complete dick for rocking reps, after all the shit I have talk about them.

I'm gonna hold out a bit longer, hopefully I don't give in.

Yea, the FHA allows for 3% down, but there is other stuff that comes with it. I'm doing research now to try and theres a lot of info out there. Im definitely going to take advantage of as many things that are available to me as a first time home owner, its just a matter of figuring that all out in time and finding the right place. My lease is up in a few months so Im hoping to figure this out sooner than later, otherwise I will just let it rollover (the lease) for another year and be better prepared. Im just worried what the interest rates will be then.

It has worked previously and I feel like i have the right timing down of stomping the gas pedal. but the past 2 days I've tried every rythm: fast, slow, steady, repeat and I cannot get the code(s) to blink on. Now some more info: the day my CEL came on the car started bucking right down the street from home. Pressing on the gas the car would cut right off mid range rpm and within seconds of bucking off would buck back on in a fluid motion of pressing the gas. The CEL flickered during this anomaly, then it finally stayed on when i pulled over and parked it. I visually checked the plug wires/coils (I have COP's) and nothing was lose. So to at least retrieve the codes what sensors would possibly go out that I'd need to replace for the Stomp test to work? What could be this possible bucking problem. Because I started the car up last night when I got off from work and it hasnt repeated the problem, even after disconnecting the battery over night from the 1st night the CEL is back on and the car feels fine.
                      Chris, replace your tps

                        Random Thought*

Mike brewer is a prick, I only watch wheeler dealers for ed's mechanical lessons

lol i agree mike is a arse, but why do I always think "wheeler dealers" in a mikes british accent. Should try watching Chop Shop London they build shit, but its interesting.

Thank for the advise, it's actually a 5 speed, seems like a really clean car.
