Buying a new dash from the BMW dealer is going to set you back a whooping $933.00 . Just called Riverside BMW they have 9 in the US and 55 in Germany.

So after tax, a mere $65k gets you the entire NOS dash market

Has anyone's M42 ever sound like a large fan is blowing at low rpm when the engine is just warming up? It goes away after revving the engine over 2k rpm/warming up. Car drives fine just louder than normal.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Oh man, could it possibly just be the chain tensioner? But their is no metallic sound at all and only when I first start the car. If it we're the guides would it be heard no matter what? Either way I got to get it checked out asap.
