Do you have access to a probe camera to check it out before you pull the head off ?

Couldn't say anything about our border brothers but, we'll be having a big SD picnic at the end of next month at Mission Bay Beach. You should come introduce yourself.

So I finally got the head of my b25 and I'm cleaning/doing other tasks right now that the head is off, but I keep hearing that it's super important to get the head resurfaced.

My motor didnt overheat or anything, this is just proactive maintenance on my part, but is it really necesarry if I knwo the head is still good? (i.e. not warped, cracked etc.)

Should only cost you about $35, do it.

To get it resurfaced you need to strip it down (cam, rockers, etc). Machine shop back in Seattle quoted me less than $100 to resurface and clean it. You should at the very least check to verify its still flat. Thats easy. This would be something that would help the resale value of the M20 when you put that M52TU in there ;)

EDIT: Doing my first oil change with the 24v. Whats a good oil (brand & weight) to run?

Are there any places that will strip it down and resurface/clean all in one go, or will I now have to teach myself how to strip a head

Anyone have any recs for shops?
