Figured it out, the tabs that the bolts go in to are tweaked from my week of being herrafrush. Goddammit.

The rod of the strut is the only part that is protruding, the casing is level with the top of the housing. I filled it as much as I could with wd40 hoping that will help.

Check under the strut housing for a bolt. I've seen this once before and it threw me off for 30min scratching my head.

Otherwise it might be corroded in the tube. Compress the shaft all the way in and hit it with a big hammer to break the body loose.

The only time I had the strut not want to come out of the housing it was bent. I was able to remove the old strut after some PB Blaster and reinstalled the new strut which was hard to get to seat all the way down. After I put the car back together the camber was noticeably different on that side. I replaced the strut housing and all was good.

I read that on a datsun z forum. some guys have had this issue so they drilled a hole in the base of the housing to smack the strut out from the bottom. I might try this if all else fails. Thanks

The housings look straight but i didnt measure them. Where should i look for bends? Only time i saw a bent housing the base of the hub spindle was breaking away from the housing. maybe ill try some PB blaster.

Thanks man. Ill just let my bro keep his 3.91 and look for something else.
