Just off the top of my head you will need a rubber mallet to punch the tie rod end out of the strut tube. obviously there will be a nut to remove first. then a large open end wrench to remove the end from the tie rod arm. take note of the amount of threads on each rod because even though you are getting an alignement right after you want it to be fairly centered. it really is an easy job. 3 tools max, I think

just did this yesterday, i used a pretty decent hammer and it came out. since your replacing id smash the shit outta it. just remember to count the threads so your alignment isn't way off

this is prolly a dumb question, where do you guys buy replacement oil pumps for the m20 at?? Everywhere I have looked has them listed but all of them are out of stock, and most say NLA

They're not as NLA as people make them seem. I've bought 4 OEM BMW oil pumps within the past month. Contact Pat at BMA Parts and he should be able to take care of you.

"Free alignment" is just an anchoring technique. Their ultimate goal is to sell you new parts (and labor). Damn firestone. :hitler:

super easy and self explanatory when you get under there.

pull the fuel pump relay in the engine bay.

the power and ground leads are size specific so you shouldn't be able to mess that up either but for good measure mark which is which. the bigger one is power.

take off the bracket first, then the whole thing will come apart.
10mm open and 10mm socket is what you'll need for the bracket. i don't remember the electrical lead sizes. 8mm and 6mm maybe.
