Couldnt get today off from work and the roll bar will be all done today. Im pretty excited about it but tomorrow is going to be a busy day. Took the day off to get the car and run some overdue errands. Im really curious what the car will look/ feel like with the bar welded in. I told him not to re-install the rear side windows since I want to paint the welded areas and it will be a lot easier without the glass in.
edit: Just got the text, cars done!Last edited by 2mAn; 12-06-2016, 11:45 AM.Simon

Overall, Im happy with what I paid and as I get more serious about racing, the cage will get more serious too.Simon

Mine was an autopower 6pt cage that was cut out and I trimmed it down to a 4 point with the X-bar. The only thing I dont love about mine, and Im not sure if all autopowers are like this is that the rear bars tie into the wheel well, not the shock tower.

If 4pt bolt in is the route I go I do plan to do some significant reinforcing of the landing points.

The thing I dont like about a bolt-in is theres a lot of compromises and they always bolt in to the wheel wells, so it doesnt seem worth it at allSimon

Originally posted by E30_Narek View PostThere's a shop in the Glendale/Burbank area called Showstoppers that supplies AutoPower cages. Since AutoPower makes cages for E30s, I'm sure they could get you one. It takes a few weeks to get it, though. My friend got a cage from there for his RX8 and it took like 4-5 weeks for him to get it.

He did mine and two friends of mine. In Reseda.
