I'd like to add that my sis just lost her TBD...the copper actually wrote back. She paid the bail after her first extension, she wasn't going to go the "I don't have any money" route :) She was offered traffic school + court fee's. I've fought off 3 tickets this way and have never heard of anyone losing a TBD...I'm guessing that Cali got tired of losing "revenue" all these years.

Word, I lost my first and only trial by declaration a month ago.
So there goes $490 I'll never see again and my first point in my driving career.

Longstory short , traffic came to a stop on the 118 , I was gonna rear end someone . So I went into carpool so I didn't rear end the person infront of me ..
Then he said I was riding solo.

He said I could've gotten one for my exhaust but he said he was 'cutting' me a break .
Bull shit ticket thouggh.
I'm not sure if I should try to fight it ,
Its gonna be over 300$

i pretty much got the same ticket for the same reason. except i had a passenger. if he booked you for both then your looking at a <$700 ticket easily. mine was $530 for crossing the lines only.

My friends and I got pulled over for him not having his lights on while he was passing a sherrif. Sherrif had us at gun point until he realized we were confused as fuck. Then he wrote my friend a ticket for the headlights and tinted windows. My friend fought it in court with a good excuse and won. Oh btw the sherrif showed up also.

Red light camera? that's what I got, plus a speeding ticket of 234 dollars. I'm gonna fight the speeding ticket with a legit argument but i deserved the red light ticket.

learn not to tail gate or get better brakes. No matter what , crossing into carpoll is a big nono. about 5 years ago i was with my buddy going to SB lots a traffic an we had to make it in time. he cut the double lines and a bike jump on us. back then it was a $400 ticket. Im sure now its wayyy more. GL man. Bite the bullet and pay up, do the driving school. it takes 2 years of clean driving to remove ONE point. If you ever apply for any job to do with driving or cars they wont hire you with points.
Ive been pretty lucky, last ticket i got was rolling a stop sign w/ no ins. it was a total BS ticket but there was no way to fight it. I didnt roll the stop sign and i did have ins but for my car. But since i was in my gf's driving ( and my name was on her title ) i was fucked.... i paid up after 8 months.. 500 bux and two points. They points are now gone :d GL braq
