Pretty surprising you got them to do that. Smog is always required for a transfer. (Unless one has been done in the last 90 days).

yeah i was kind of surprised. purchased the car from a tow yard with virtually zero papers and walked out of the dmv with <$100 damage with a clean/clear title and new plates with tags.

Damn dmv just stole 460 from me. Just "junked" a subaru the other day... previous owner fucked me with parking tickets left on the car.

Looking for some advice/input again. I highbeamed some fool last night at 2am driving without headlights. It cut power to the car. Been searching the boards for similar issues, but nothing yet. Thought I'd ask if anyone delt with it before.

That's how it works sometimes. The smog from when you bought it won't help. They are good for 90 days.

The car was smogged the week i bought the car. So when I went to register it , I asked if i needed to smog and the lady at AAA said it was allready done and I was good to for 2 years. But now its coming up a year and i need to smog? Anyways ill figure it out. Nothing by going to AAA and showing papers from last year wont help :D
