I just picked up a old South Bend 9" machine lathe for $40. Got some rust and the belts fell off...but everything looks good so far

can't wait to finish the clean up. custom fittings...custom bushings...custom shifters...

Its second one on the manifold side. I believe the head needs to come off. Would it work with jb weld, lol?

last time i had that situation i just replaced the whole head. let me know if you're too lazy to DIY, i'm cheap. ;)

About to remove my starter. Is there any way to test it to see whats wrong with it?? Worked perfectly before we pulled the motor :(

After correcting the wrong ground it still wouldn't start. Using a tester we saw that everything was getting power/ground as it should and with a 100% battery, the starter still wouldn't turn.
