Can I tell you from old chevy experience your gonna want the 6. You're gonna beat on that four banger. Comparable difference in mileage/useful factor as a wrangler... who wants a 4 banger

I know, I've driven both! The 4 definitely is no race truck but it'll be great for what I want. I honestly probably won't use it for that much "truck stuff".

I guess I'm just a 4.3 fan, they are nearly indestructable. They used it from early 80 iirc to the death of the trailblazer.

Yes, I am sure that they came with both engines. I think most of the single cab's were 4 cyl and the ext cabs were 6 cyl.

I'd prefer the 4 to get teh MPGz.

my dad had an '00 2.2l s15 5spd. loved that fricken truck. the only downsides are that it's a total dog and the mpg isn't really that great. expect 17/22. they are a ton of fun when slammed too, my buddy dropped his on t-bars and blocks and it's a riot.

my dad loved that truck...it was so clean.

That is the actual truck but pic is from 2006. Guy sounds really cool and he's taken good care of it. It's a 2000 with a 4 cylinder stick and only 102k. I looked it up on fueleconomy.gov and it's listed to get 20mpg city and 26 highway. Not bad. I've wanted one since like 8th grade.

i can say that they are decent little trucks... just dont plan on pulling any kind of load w it. they are very lackluster in the power department. but.....
who gives a fuck... it looks nice... it will get decent mileage(6cyl are fuckin hogs)... and you can almost use it as a truck. except for the whole towing factor.

i pulled ours from a dead stop in fifth gear when i was in high school. 'watch this!'

i also remember towing an 8' trailer cross country and peggin 4th gear across the entire state of kansas because the headwind was too strong to keep 5th.
